I’m a licensed psychotherapist based in Minnetonka, MN. I specialize in working with perfectionists and overachievers. How To Get Started

Take Your First Steps

Free 15-Minute Intro Phone Call

I will ask about current stressors, share practice policies, set expectations, answer questions, and schedule your first session.

First Diagnostic Session

Meet with Sarah at the office on the world’s comfiest couch, on a walk outside, or virtually from the comfort of your own home.

Begin Regular Sessions

You will begin to identify and implement effective coping skills for problems you’re facing, share past experiences and current patterns, while gaining insight from evidence-based interventions.

Intensive Sessions

I offer 2 or 3 hour-long intensive sessions to help you take a big step forward. Therapy intensives consist of traditional talk therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Why Intensives Might Be Right For You

  • A weekly appointment is tough to be consistent with.
  • You do not enjoy talking about your struggles.
  • You’re preparing for a big life event (a job change, a wedding, a re-location, relationship ending).
  • You experienced  a painful life event in the past that impacts you today.
  • You prefer to work intensively. This process is very personal, involves brain-spotting, and customized to you to gain insight and growth moving forward.

About My Rates

I Offer a Range of Payment Options

Fees

  • Individual sessions – $200 for 60 minutes
  • 2-Hour Intensive sessions at $250 per hour
  • 3-Hour Intensive sessions at $300 per hour
  • Sliding scale fee – apply to see if you are eligible

Format

  • Office In-person, outdoor walking , or virtual sessions

Insurance

  • Out of Network

Is Therapy Reimbursed?

Yes! You may be able to be reimbursed for your costs.

I’ve compiled some information and tools to help make that process easier for you to navigate. I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. Mentaya’s goal is to save you time and money. It’s completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation. Check your eligibility for reimbursement here.
